Beware of Banshees is a loud festival, shattering gender norms. For the fifth edition of Beware of Banshees we are coming back to the beautiful cultural safehaven de Nijverheid in Utrecht August 1st 2026 with a full day of loud AF on 2 stages, diversity inspiring workshops, a tattoo parlor and much more. For those who believe in Beware of Banshees - the true banshees - early birds are now for sale!  The fourth edition in 2025 sold out with over 300 tickets sold, so don’t miss out ;).

 

Previous editions have featured bands as BOMBSTRAP, C’est Qui, PEUK, Ontaard, Rats and Daggers, Library Card and much more. So you better believe the next edition is going to be sick as well.

We are a loud music festival and we believe loudness has the power to disrupt. To shatter the status quo and to take up space. We question the lineup that predominantly showcases men in a beautifully diverse world that has so much more to offer. We prove this by showcasing sick and empowering acts with a focus on gender diversity, because the stage and the people we look up to should reflect the full spectrum of our society. 

 

Our mission is to make voices that often go unheard in loud music feel welcome and to inspire others to follow their path by offering tools and meaningful interactions for both crew and visitors. To invite diversity and rewrite the rules in both loud music and other single gender dominated subcultures like skateboarding and tattoo culture. To inspire durable change in these scenes and build towards a more inclusive and diverse world.
